We facilitated a series of digital workshop exercises to help the Millennium Point project stakeholders communicate the complexities of the organisations structure, products and services. This was driven by defining their key audience groups and what they needed from a digital experience along with defining the primary revenue streams.

This insight led into mapping the primary user journeys and overall structure of the website to ensure that the new digital product would satisfy those needs and deliver against the project objectives.

A focus on venue hire

Millennium Point are a landmark venue in Birmingham with a wide portfolio of impressive event spaces. Coupled with the showcasing of the Charity and Property side of the organisation, the key objective of the website is to drive venue hire (event space) enquiries into the new business team.

Our design thinking and approach to the project was to make the ‘Spaces’ available to hire easy to access and navigate for users. Once arriving on a ‘Space’ we ensured that the price and enquiry CTA (Call to action) were prominent. We developed bespoke icons to ensure that users were presented a simple visual language to communicate the features and benefits of the spaces along with the varying layout options available.

Positive result

Since the launch of the new website, venue space enquiries have increased by 76%. Through GA data analysis, this increase is directly attributed to us making the website easy to navigate for users along with a focus on giving users what they want when they arrive on their destination pages – the power of good design and a considered approach to on-page content hierarchy built around the user persona.

The Millennium Point marketing team now also have a highly flexible website that they can scale using the WordPress CMS. We developed a design system that allows them to utilise design assets that we have created to build new campaign and event pages to drive social media and PPC traffic to and generate enquiries/bookings.
