Yes, there appears to be no end in sight. Yes, there seems to be more to complain about than be grateful for at the moment. But one thing that needs to be highlighted in all of this, is that Birmingham as a city, community, business hub and greatest place on earth, has come together as one.
We’re a proud Birmingham digital agency here at OB体育手机版, where we have staff hailing from all parts of the city and beyond. We boast fans of the city’s best football team (UTV), the second most famous Brummie to appear on Big Brother ( Hi PJ ), and one of the best offices the city has to offer, even if we do say so ourselves.
We’re still going strong, but not without our challenges of course. We long to be having a beverage or three somewhere around St Paul’s Square on one of these lovely summer days currently being wasted on us. We can’t wait to be back in the office together and speaking face-to-face, rather than through some squared digital device. Simply said, we long for normality.
But whilst that’s on hold for now, we just wanted to take a moment and say how proud we are to be part of this beautiful Brummie community that is shining through all of the bad news. If it’s not the kind words, support, and working partnerships we continue to have with our clients, it’s the charity work taking place (almost on a daily basis!) to raise money for a number of different causes across the second city. We’re part of it, we see it and we applaud it! There are so many positive people doing so many amazing things, it really has been eye-opening to see how creative everyone can be!
Everyone is supporting each other, either business-wise or on a more human level. You’d have to be an alien if the lockdown and the current restrictions were not affecting you in some way or another, but as a team and as individuals we are comforted by the fact there is always someone to speak to; whether it be a text, call, LinkedIn message or even a one-on-one socially distant meet, Boris has given us that privilege now!
Keep going, Brum! We all look forward to the day we can see each other again. But we’re doing a good job in the meantime, wouldn’t you say?
